The client: Founded in 1967 by Irene and C.W. Sulier, Blue Grass Community Foundation has become a cornerstone for enhancing the quality of life in Central and Appalachia Kentucky. From a single endowment, it has grown into a network of over 800 funds, collectively managing charitable assets exceeding $246 million. By connecting donors with causes they care about, the foundation has awarded over $170 million in grants, fulfilling its mission to meet community needs and make a lasting difference. The GoodGiving challenge was a week long event, in partnership with Smiley Pete Publishing, where funds are raised for local nonprofits.
The project: I was tasked with laying out a comprehensive campaign designed to excite the residents in central Kentucky to give generously during this annual 4-day fundraising event.
The outcome: The GoodGiving Guide raised $1.6 million for local nonprofits
